Glossary of tank Parts:

Float/dial gauge - A gauge constructed with an element installed inside the container that floats on the liquid surface and transmits its position to a device outside the container to indicate the liquid level. This gauge reads in percentages from 0%-100%

Multipurpose Valve - includes a service valve, a vapor return valve, a fixed liquid level gauge and a pressure gauge. This is the valve where the regulator connects to the tank.

Name/Data Plate - This plate is welded to the tank and contains the Manufacture’s information, tank size, and serial number along with the all required facts pertaining to your tank.

Filler Valve - The valve that the delivery hose, from the bobtail, connects to the propane tank for refilling.

Liquid withdrawal valve - The valve that the hose from the bobtail connects to in order to withdraw liquid propane from the propane tank.

Relief Valve - A type of pressure relief device designed to both open and close to maintain internal fluid pressure.
